can't find cdrom?
Every game I try to play with cedega that requires a cdrom says that the game is not inserted in the cdrom drive even when it is. I have no clue what to do...

The CD is already mounted. I made sure that the dosdevice "d:" file links directly to the cd rom and it still didn't fix the problem. I tried what the thread suggested but I still get the same problem.
Sometimes(such as the last line) I get an error saying file already exists and sometimes it gives me "read only file system" but I fixed that but recreating the d: file. I tried editing so it would match my computerCode:ln -s /mnt/cdrom0 /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d:: ln -s /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d: ln -s /mnt/cdrom0 /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d::
In the end, I still get the same annoying problem.Code:ln -s /mnt/cdrom /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d: ln -s /dev/cdrom /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d: ln -s /mnt/cdrom /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d::

the d: should ONLY be linked to the device and d:: should only be linked tothe mount point.
ln -s /mnt/cdrom /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d::
ln -s /dev/cdrom /home/splittik/.wine/dosdevices/d:
now it is important that the lnk fies you are making for d: is the actual cdrom device in the /dev folder. check one more time to make shure that you are lnking to the real cdrom name in /dev
also just for cleansliness, delete your current d: and d:: links you already made before doing this part. also try using WineTools to configure your wine config file. its out there on the net... somewhere.nVidia G-Force 6600GT (bfg) pci-e: amd 64 2000+ (939): 1024 corsair ram: 2X 80gb seagate harddisk SATA: plextor cd/dvd-read/write cdrom SATA
