i googled "Cedega CVS" and went on this page here
the problem i have is that when i try to run the downloadable file it doesn't work. i instead get an error message. the process goes like this:

Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

So you're trying to run a CVS client or server from Wine?
Why would you do that?

If you're using Suse (as your profile say), doesn't YaST solve dependencies automatically and installs them for you.
Edit:
Or what error do you get when installing Python?
- 07-11-2005 #8
missing stuff. can't remember, it was a couple of days ago... and no YaST doesn't really install dependancies if it doesn't think i have the file and just tells me about it. DOH! i meant PERL! man i'm stupid! it says i require perl(getopts.pl)
man i am such a DUMBASS!!
*slaps myself around a bit with a wet fish
does anyone else get these dependancy issues and is it ok to install it anyway? i read on the perl website that SuSE should come with these files already installed. should i install anyway and hope it works? Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:

Has anyone had a problem connecting to the cedega cvs server? I've been trying off and on for the past few months to check out a copy of this thing and I've never been able to connect. Any thoughts?
