    I would suggest installing point2play first, which will make configuring Cedega very easy. It will run a test on your system and then proceed to ask you if you want to download some files. Once all that is done then you can begin to download any Cedega version you want (of course start with the latest version) which point2play will automatically configure to the system. Once all this is done then you can proceed to install some games using point2play.

    tar -xzvf <pkgname>
    su
    ./configure

    make install

    Tar.gz is the -xzvf
