    i installed cedega the other day for the first time, and had my first game going in 45min, took me a little while to figure out the settings and all of P2P but otherwise i probably could have had it done faster CLI... who knows, either way, it's working and was very easy...

    hummm i use the cvs winex, and vanila wine and i find that prety simple, its all through terminal though...

    wine is hard
    Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
    Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
    Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

    As I always recommend to anyone with Wine trouble, go to frank's corner. If you get Dcom98, IE6 and the MSI installer installed through the winetools and use his premade wine directory I find you get the same or better results than with cedega. To be honest I've thought cedega to be only average. However Wine in general has come on by leaps and bounds over time. It really is getting to a stage where it is becoming likely an application will run under it.
