    I don't know. What version of Wine are you using? What version of Winamp are you using?

    Also, there are plenty of (better) media players in Linux. Why are you using Winamp?

    im not sure, but i think its the latest version of wine, and its winamp v. 5.1
    one of the reasons is the winamp radio.
    the second is that xmms dont work
    amarok wont start at all, mplayer and kaffeine are not easy to use with music.

    Most major distributions don't ship with the ability to play MP3s due to legal problems. Download the latest full version of XMMS from their website here:

    http://www.xmms.org

    Then remove your existing XMMS and install the one you downloaded. The RPM file should work fine. To remove the old xmms:
    Code:
    su
    <root password>
    rpm -e xmms
    To install the new one:
    Code:
    rpm -i nameOfXmmsPackage.rpm
