    this is a bit of a hack, but if you know what font an application uses, install the font you want to use and rename it to the font the program uses.

    Not sure if that will work, but I dont see why not.

    whatever is in the core fonts package. you can get this for wine with winetools.

    generally it consists of arial, tahoma (I think), verdana, and a few others. This should be easy to google.
