    Problems installing Wine on SuSE!



    Hi..

    I tried to install Wine 0.9.11 on SuSe 10 by running the following command as root:

    ~# rpm -i wine-0.9.11-SuSELinux100.i586.rpm

    I got the following error:

    error: wine-0.9.11-SuSELinux100.i586.rpm: headerRead faild: hdr blob(68596): BAD, read returned 6107
    error: wine-0.9.11-SuSELinux100.i586.rpm: cannot be installed

    Any help?

    Try to install and run with --force or --nodeps keys.
    rpm -ihv --force --nodeps wine*.rpm

    sounds like the rpm download is corrupted, you have two choices:
    1. redownload the rpm and try again.
    2. use the version which came on your SUSE installation media (goto Yast's "Install and remove software" section)
