how to use wine?

i went in windows but there is no punisher installed on dick c.i come back in linux and punisher is still there.why cant i see punisher in windows?

how you went to windows ??? i did not understand...
do you have dual boot with windows ????????


if installed punisher, then check main manu in linux... in must be listed somewhere ?

yes i have dual boot.i have fedora core 4 and windows xp.i used wine to install the punisher,i installed it on c disk on windows partition.then i opend windows because i wanted to crack this game.but there was no punisher s folder .im sure i installed it on /programfiles/thq/marvel/thepunisher

i opend linux again and the punisher is there.why i can not see this folder in windows?

i think there is a lot of things which you have to learn yet !!!
wine does not install games in windows program files......
wine create a virtual window environment in linux only... it has nothing to do with c:\program files of windows.....

well i tried to find the punisher in linux.but there is no punisher icon in my menues.how can i run punisher now?

i have installed the punisher under /home/jan/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/THQ/Marvel/The punisher/

i typed

wine /drive_c/Program Files/THQ/Marvel/The punisher/pun.exe

but there is no directory named program

How must i write that is gonna be correct

Also remember when using paths that wine or Windows programs have created, folder and file names may contain spaces, and you'll need to use quotes or escape characters when using those names in Linux.

So here's one way to do it:

$ wine '/home/jan/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/THQ/Marvel/The punisher/pun.exe'

The single quotes around the path make wine treat it as one argument. If you type it without quotes, then the spaces are seen as separators between arguments, which breaks up your path.

ok i have cracked the punisher,but when i want to epen it the screen becomes blank for a moment tand than i can se my desktop but with changed resolution.it happens nothing more.
i there something wrong whit my game or what?

An easier faster way to access your programs with wine, is to first find where they are, put a shortcut/link on the desktop, then right click on the .exe file, and select open with wine!
