    Wine and DirectX9

I know lots of work has been done in the development of directX lately in wine, but I have one application that does a check before installation even begins. It looks for what version of DirectX the system is running. I end up getting an error saying that I'm not running DirectX9, so the install stops.

The software in question is StreetDeck (a GPS navigation software for a car computer running winXP)

Any way I can fool the software into thinking it's running directX9? Do I have to install the Microsoft DirectX9c in order to get directX9 working on wine?

even if you're successful fooling the software, you probably fail running it smoothly. Perhaps check for older version of the software that requires older directx?

Also don't hope much on directx applications on wine. Since not much games are quite successful running on wine, or even cedega either
