I tried to install RCT 2 with Wine, worked, but NO SOUND
I use Kubuntu (Debian-build), and I use ALSA.
Anyone who can help me????

No sound, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
Hey guys,
I tried to install RCT 2 with Wine, worked, but NO SOUND

Does your sound usualy work?
What is Rollercoaster Tycoon 2? program or game?
If is a program ....wine is not god so a lot of programs wont work.
If is a game you should try CEDEGA ...it is much better emulator for games .

1. my sound usualy works, other people under (K)ubuntu have no sound too in RCT 2
2. its a game
3. i don't want to use cedega (it costs money)
4. i runs perfectly under wine, except the sound

This is not helpful for the following reasons:

In any case, I'm not looking for a great deal of research, just if someone has had this problem and overcome it. After all I didn't start the thread, I just said I have the same problem (albeit the original post was quite old).

Sometimes using OSS instead of ALSA fix the problem
