winex installation problems

i tried to install winex3.0 (rpm-packege) but i get the following messages:

i have already ion, kde and mesa installed.
if i run glxgears under a X-window i got no errors.

can anybody help pls??

Things like that can happen if you try to install an RPM that was assembled for a distro other than yours, since different distros use different dependency namings.

i have gentoo linux running, but is it possible to install redhat and "mount" redhat while i'm on gentoo?
perhaps with chroot??

Oh, it would be hard to install RPMs on Gentoo, since it doesn't have the base dependencies (since they weren't installed by RPM).

It should be possible to just mount the RH partition and chroot into it, yes.

i just needed winex for diablo2, but this game is working with wine, too.
so the prob is solved *g
