I was wondering if it is at all possible to get a shockwave player on linux if you've downloaded
something like WINE. Could it be possible to get the shockwave player working on linux using WINE?

Its possible, but a hassle to get it working.
But then only as a standalone player.
Or you will need to run your webbrowser using wine.
