Weird install bug
I am attempting to install a korean program called Baram, It is very similar to a supported program called Nexus TK.
I was getting a string of error messages
I think I got most of that fixed by making wine emulate XP instead of standard 2000. Before it would terminate immediately, It no longer terminates but something really strange happens.Code:fixme:win:SetLayeredWindowAttributes (0x20024,0x00ffffff,222,2): stub! fixme:win:SetLayeredWindowAttributes (0x20024,0x00ffffff,230,2): stub! fixme:win:SetLayeredWindowAttributes (0x20024,0x00ffffff,238,2): stub! fixme:win:SetLayeredWindowAttributes (0x20024,0x00ffffff,246,2): stub! fixme:win:SetLayeredWindowAttributes (0x20024,0x00ffffff,255,2): stub! wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x100011ee at address 0x100011ee (thread 000e), starting debugger... The installer puts up a full screen image as it does on windows, however the message box that should come up in front of the full screen image instead comes up behind it, I can use alt+tab to select a different program but no matter what program is active the image stays on top. I can't get past there because I can't confirm my install.
Anyone have any Ideas as to what could be causing that or any suggestions as what I should do?

easy fix
I just had that problem when installing a game in wine..
I run SuSE 10.2 so I hope this works for you..
when the new window appears, look down at your toolbar and right click it..
in the box you should see something like, move, or some arrows that point in the four cardinal directions.. any way, just select the option that will allow you to move a box and click and hold in the center of the main box that is in the way and drag your other box to the side..
I hope this works for you.. I am a new convert from XP so my explanations aren't very technical. I'm sure there is a command line for this but I don't know how to do that yet..Alienware M17
Dual ATI 3870 512Mb ram each
intel 5300 wireless
Ubuntu 8.04
