    cannot run application

While trying to run an old windows application from a mounted windows partition
    I get the following error:

    wine: creating configuration directory '/root/.wine'...
    basename: extra operand `μου'
Try `basename --help' for more information.
wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/root/.wine'.

With SuSE 10.0 and a previous version of wine I was able to run this application.
    I am using wine-0.9.24
    Any suggestions?

Not to let these die unanswered. I'd recommend you ran winecfg before. Oh and running as root is LAME! :P
