I've read that and done that and my games still go fullscreen then close

I don't know why.

when I start the game from the command line or from steam I get the same thing and no errors show up on the console

this has happened in Debian Etch and now Sabayon 2.6.23-r1-sabayon

bump

is there really no answer to this?

is it an x86-64 issue?

Steam seems to work,

but the games do not

what is the solution, because nothing works yet
