- 03-16-2007 #3As stated above, you cannot install programs designed for Microsoft Windows in any Linux distribution. Linux is a completely different operating system that requires its own kind of software.

The closest approximation to Photoshop in the Linux world is the GIMP, as also stated above. You could also attempt to install Photoshop using a wrapping program such as WINE, however your results are likely to be bad.
If you simply must have Photoshop, set your computer up to boot both Linux and MS Windows. That way you can boot to Windows when you need to run a specific program and use Linux for everything else.Registered Linux user #270181

You could use WINE or Crossover Linux. These are apps that will let you run some Windows apps on Linux. In the past I used Photoshop on Linux using Crossover Linux.
