Wine questions

do you think wine is capable of running a high detail game like Stronhold2.

my windows computer is messing up and i want to play this game on Ubuntu but im unsure if it will work

First thing to do is try it, then, if it doesn't work come back and post a message with information like: what error message did you get, or what does it do, what version of WINE are you running, etc.

edit: Oh, BTW, WINE does seem to run some Windows games with 3D graphics, etc., just fine, while some other games (and programs) may run so-so, or not at all.

I looked here: Wine Application DB - Viewing App - Stronghold 2 and it looks like so far, people haven't reported success getting it working (somebody tried the Demo version) that's not good news, but who knows, it might possibly work on your system.
