I'm using latest wine in debian sid...I tried to install soundforge 7. I extracted the file in win and copied the install files to linux..started the setup.exe with wine and my pc just completly crashes. only thing left to do is a hard reboot.
I tried several things but getting kinda scared to mesh up my debian. Before I tried installing soundforge wine worked quit well. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. I deleted all the .wine files before reinstalling but it still stalls. Any clues on what to try or where I went wrong. Perhaps an app that is sure to work with wine so I can test. At the moment even wine tools makes the pc crash when trying to install some of the options.....
