MSN Messenger 6.2 doesn't sign in!
I have installed MSN Messenger 6.2 properly using wine-20040615 on Fedora Core 1. It runs but when I try to sign in, the shell gave me these errors:
The only error I get is "fixme: ras: RasEnumConnectionsA RAS support is not implemented! Configure program to use LAN Connection/winsock instead!" I dunno, but isn't it a better idea to just use Gaim instead? Seeing that MSN Messenger is one of Microsoft's core programs, it's very likely that it's using lots of undocumented API calls which can't be implemented in Wine.

i recommend instead of using msn in wine you try out amsn here is a link to it and it works pretty good

and then there is always gaim wish work for msn, yahoo, aim, icq and a few others

The advantage of Gaim for you is that it comes with the distro.

yah, msn was one of the things i was trying to run away from when i switched to linux. you should try gaim out unless theres another reason you want msn?

I do have gAIM and aMSN but, they don't have what I want on MSN Messenger. MSN Games, webcam support, remote assistance and etc.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "core" program... it's very unlikely that they've implemented webcam support and remote assistance, etc. in Wine.

actually, Remote Assistance may not be available but other features may.
I would really want MSN Messenger to work please.
