Installing Windows programs
I can't seem to make Wine work. I use the command wine program.exe to try to run a simple program and get the error message
fixme:mmtime:timeBeginPeriod Stub; we set our timer resolution at minimum
err:x11drv:X11DRV_CreateWindow invalid window width -4232
Also--assuming I get wine to work--I want to install Reason 3.0 (music software) from CD. How can I install Reason (or any other program) with Wine? Will it be such a pain to use Reason in Linux that I should just stick to Windows?
And if its not feasible, is there a good Reason/Pro Tools alternative in Linux?

 That's a quotable quote. I don't use commercial music editing software, but most larger programs will not work well in WINE. There's no reason you can't just dual-boot and use MS Windows when you need that program. Many gamers like myself have done that in the past.

Thing is, I built the computer and would rather not buy and install MS Windows for one program. Anyone who uses Pro Tools type software in Linux, advice appreciated.

Ah. I see. Well, good luck then. ;)
