Winamp help

My os is RedHat Enterprise Linux 4. I've install winamp 5.24 with wine but i can't play song in winamp.And i got this error msg:
"Bad DirectSound driver.Please install proper driver or select another device in configuration.Error code: 80004005
".Somebody help me?

Is there a reason to use WinAMP over XMMS? They function identically, in fact you can even use your WinAMP skins with XMMS. It will run natively on your system too rather than through the wine compatibility layer.
