Internet does not work

Hey everyone,
I have only just started using linux, and i am using the dsl distro installed to my HD on my pentium 3 Viglen genie.
I want to connect to the internet but have no idea how, i have a linksys wireless pci card but whenever i try to set up wireless network cards it says
"no network card found" or similar.

please help me, thanks.

and try some of those ideas: then once you get
stuck at some specific point, give us another
holler.
