I have a Linksys usb wireless g adapter how can i get it to work with ubuntu 6 and 7

My model number is wusb54gsc i new at linux so please help me if you can and tell me how to set it up. Im very new to it so if you know a more basic way to explain it or are willing to help me understand some of the how too's cuz they are kinda complicating for me since im not used to the operating system of linux my yahoo is shredders2005@yahoo and my live is kaleidoscopesharingan@hotmail
