i am using wifi as my internet source, and when i boot up PCLinuxOS on a live cd, it asks me "choose the connection you want to configure". these are the options they give: ethernet, satellite, cable modem, dsl, isdn, wireless, gprs/edge/3g, bluetooth dial up networking, or analog telephone modem (pots).
since wifi is wireless, i chose wireless (should i have done that?). then it goes to a choice "choose an ndiswrapper driver" with the options: "install a new driver" or "use the ndiswrapper driver home.desktop." i clicked the 1st choice (should i have done that?).
now this is where i get really lost. a new window comes up with no instructions with root, desktop, and file system as buttons. these buttons open up even more files. since there is no instructions, i do not know what to do, so i just pressed "ok". it then comes to a dead end saying "unable to install the home.desktop ndiswrapper driver."
so my main question is, can any one help me to find out how i can connect to the internet wit PCLinuxOS? thank you.
