wireless card ifup-wlan0 missing

Hi,

I did a fedora 8 install but am having trouble with wireless. The inbuilt intel 3945 card is detected and shows up as wlan0 and I can make it associate to an AP with iwconfig wlan0 essid. However, when i do /sbin/ifup wlan0, it says configuration for wlan0 not found and i actually see no ifup-wlan0 script in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. How do I get this working? Network manager has the same problem because all it does is calls /sbin/ifup wlan0.
