good wifi card... but can't figure work to get it to connect

I just bought a ew-7128g and installed it (I think I got it installed correctly) on suse 10.3

it can see the networks in the area but it can't seem (or I don't know how ) to connect to my network.

I used a copy of backtrack to test it and it had the card working and connect to the network without any setup on my part at all so I know it can work.

I have encryption disabled for now so I don't have to worry about it. I plan to turn it on after I get it to work without it.

I don't know what info you need so just ask for it.
Thanks in advance.

Try using

dhclient

as root. I'm not sure what the command is for suse, though.

got it to work (the source code I compiled was bad, so I used the cvs version) mostly thanks to this link:

Setting up RT61 or RT2500 Wireless Cards - SUSE Wiki

which helps set it up for suse.
