problems with wireless in ubuntu

I am trying to connect to my network wirelessly with a linksys wireless g usb adapter. The network shows up in the network manager, but when I click on it and enter the passphrase it never totally connects (I can't open web pages). I switched to wep 128 bit encryption and tried typing in the passphrase and the key and neither worked. Any help would be appreciated.

Enter this command in a terminal, and post the output.
Code:
sudo /bin/lsusb -v
As this will output a lot, copy and post only the section dealing with the wireless.
