Ubuntu and Aztech DSL router

Hi,

One of my friend has an Aztech DSL router. This one:

ADSL2+ wireless modem router, ADSL2+ 4-port router

He tried it on Ubuntu but it was not detecting? Could it be because of drivers or something!? Haven't checked it though but this is what he told me.

Thanks

A router doesn't need any drivers to be installed, as it is part of the network. What needs drivers are the wireless and wired network cards that are installed on the PC.

If your friend has a working Windows setup, and then installed Ubuntu on the same machine, then he may need to install or setup the correct drivers.

Yup it works now. Actually he was confusing it with driver as he is not tech savvy.
