suse 10.3 wireless e router
Hi,
I installed suse linux 10.3 on my laptop, configured wireless and all runs... except when the other PC (suse 10.2) is connected to the network: in this case my wireless stops working.
I think it's a router problem but don't know how to solve it.
Any ideas?

Do you get any notifications whatsoever? Have you tried connecting a third computer before your 10.3 one - so, just connect the 10.2 and this third one. Does it happen then?

Is it possible that they are both set up to use a static IP address, and that they both are trying to use the same address? Make sure that they are using DHCP to obtain the IP address, on both the router and the computers,

PCs use two different ip addresses and both are configured to use DHCP.

I suspect the problem is within the wireless router. Assuming it can and has been configured to answer more than one connection check:

A> That it is not checking the MAC addresses of the connecting party, and refusing to connect because it doesn't have your other machine MAC addresses noted as accessable.

B> What does your laptop /var/log/message & /var/log/firewall files say?
They have to have some indication of why the disconnection took place.

C> 10.3 and 10.2 connectivity is much the same. What wireless driver are you using on each machine, and how did you set up the wireless access point/router?

The strange thing is that network goes up and down. Now I'm connected but two minutes ago I was disconnected. This is the log report
