| Actually, I have found Linux Mint to be one of the easier distros for setting up a wireless.
In the main menu, open this application:
Administration --> Hardware Drivers
There should be a selection for a wireless driver to install. It may not have the same name as the wireless, because Linux uses the chip name.
You need to first have a wired internet connection. Then click on the box in the "Enabled" column to put a check in it. It should then download and install the driver. The "Status" column should then say "In use".
