Wifi connection with Belkin card

Hi all,

I'm a relatively new user of Linux Mandriva 2009 powerpack.
After a complicated and awkward installaiton process, I still have some problems with the wifi internet connection.
The OS recognise the wi-fi card (Belkin) but answers that it needs a driver which can be downloaded from a specific url. I cannot find that Url so I cannot download the file.
Shoul I buy a specific card or should I do anything to sort this issue out?

Kind regards

Hi alessio1974, and welcome to Linux Forums.

Please post the output of these commands, the information will allow me to help you.
Code:
lsusb
Code:
lspci
Code:
lsmod
What type of card is this? Is this a USB or a PCI/PCMCIA card?

Wi fi connection

I logged in in text mode (user@localhost) and prompted the commands you suggested. However, it recognize only lspci and does not recognize lsusb and lsmod.
I'm stuck!
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance

You may need root privileges, or just the path to the command. Read through the post linked to below, it will give examples of what I mean.
