    Kubuntu Wireless on a Compaq V5000

    Hello,
    I just put Kubuntu on my Compaq v5000 laptop. The wireless internet is not connecting but the ethernet is. What can i do?

    is the manufacturer of your wireless card?

    Also:

    First look to see if Kubuntu has a driver for it to automatically install. Go to this, in the main menu.

    System --> Hardware Drivers Manager

    If there is a wireless driver available, click on the enable check box for it to download and install it. It may not have the same name as your wireless, but use it anyway. You need a wired internet connection for this to work.
