Siemens Gigaset USB Adapter 54 issue

Hy everybody,

#1
i would like to know how install the driver for this adapter.
At first, I installed the windows driver, with ndiswrapper.
Then I got sick of it, and i looked up, and found the prism driver(p54usb).
I would just like to know how to install them?

#2
i have installed the p54usb driver(by default, came with the OS).
I have an interface(wlan0), just it won't connect to the internet.
I tried
# iwconfig wlan0 essid "MYAP"
i have put away security key(WEP) for testing, just to see if it's working. But it aint.
i go like this:
# ifconfig wlan0 192.168.2.101 --> my wlan ip
# route add default gw 192.168.2.1

And when i try to ping, it doesnt recognize the site(google.com).
Any help?

Your card requires firmware before it will work properly. See this for more info:

p54 - Linux Wireless

For more info on the firmware loading, run this command.
Code:
dmesg | grep firmware
You may need more information about your wireless. Read through this post, for instructions on how to find the info. Post the info here if you can.
