dmesg | grep firmware

I thought I could get this working on my own, but I guess I still don't have the skill set I thought I had.
Edit: Didn't want to use ndiswrapper if a open source driver was available first.

Yea I should know how to do this better. I have learned alot from your posts. I think I burned some brain cells on my birthday.
Recent Events since I posted this thread.
Blew away the Xubuntu install on hda2 for now. (30 gig partition)
Booted up Gparted and shrunk 30 gig into 20 gig and 10 gig ext3 partitions.
Booted up Puppy Dingo and connected Belkin card slicker than snot.
Gonna install puppy on the 10 gig partition using full install.
The other 20 gig I haven't decided yet but maybe Xubuntu again or maybe I'll try my hand at Sidux. I'll leave this thread open for now in case you wanna chastise me
but don't forget, I gotta a thick skin so it'll bounce right off.
I'll try to do better next time waterhead. I just get a little fuzzy headed sometimes. HA. Thanks for the response waterhead. If I try Xubuntu again I'll come back to this thread via subscriptions and use your links. happy trails

Didn't hurt my feelers any waterhead. I seem to be my own worst enemy lately. In fact jerking my chain makes me grin.
Latest update.
Booted up computer . Grub error 15. (Forgot to git rid of Xubuntus grub even though I told Puppy to install grub to MBR).I'm moving too fast and making rookie errors.
Gets worse. I boot up super grub disk and resolve nothing. Still Grub error 15. I must be devolving.
Boot up Win 98 to do a fiixmbr. Somehow i make the Windows Partition unrecognizable to Gparted after this. I'm on a roll.
Said to heck with it and deleted all partitions on Hardrive. Wife is pee OOd at me.
I laugh and break out old Windows 2000 pro CD and install on 20 gigs of 60 gig Hardrive.
Busy chasing IBM Drivers for Windows 2000 for Display, sound, ethernet card, so I can update to SP4 so I can get everything else sorted. This is to make the wife happy.
After I get done spending hours to make a working Windows install. I am gonna take a break and think about options. Have a few stiff drinks to.
