Do I have to have static IP assignment to auto-mount Samba shares?

Automount Samba Shares

Since you are running a Server, you should have a static IP address so that you can update your hosts file...etc so that every computer on your network knows the name of your network server. Otherwise the DHCP address could change and your clients would not be able to find the server. The other option is to use DHCP in your router and set it up to always use that address.

or you can use local DNS server which can update the address of your samba server
