Just trying to get my laptop wireless to work

Your wireless only needed firmware installed for it to work, which can be done with this command.
BUT, it requires the b43 driver module, which I don't see loaded. What I do see is NDISwrapper loading, so you must have followed some NDISwrapper instructions that told you to blacklist the b43 module.Code:sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware
I recommend uninstalling NDISwrapper, removing b43 from the blacklist file and add ndiswrapper to it instead, and install the firmware with the above command.
You then should configure it in YaST as a new network card.Paul

now have a connection ..the gui says connected ..but www will not load any pages even with ip address
have tried different configurations in Network Settings .using no security wep and also wpa psk etc .firewall is off

You may need to provide the IP address of the router. There should be a place in the YaST network configuration for that, most likely it is called the Default Gateway.
