There is a Linux driver available, but it is not enabled by default. First, open the Hardware Drivers manager.
System-->Administration-->Hardware Drivers.
There should be an entry named "Broadcom STA wireless driver". Put a check in the "enabled" box, disable the b43 driver, if present, and reboot. If you also have a Broadcom wired network card, it may cause problems.

When I access
System > Administration > Hardware Drivers
The only drivers that it talks about are thrid part and propriety drivers
I haven't the slightest clue how to access the rest of the drivers on the system
The Broadcom STA wireless driver is a third party/proprietary driver. You should enable/install the linux-restricted-modules package. Use apt or the Synaptic program to do this.
