It seems your wireless is working fine according to dmesg. Have you tried to connect and configure your connection using Network Manager? If you click on the icon in the system tray (beside the clock) you should see a list of available networks.

yes i had spent my first day trying to configure network manager..
i have my DCHP on Automatic,
ive selected the correct security key, and entered the correct key,
My network manager indicate that wireless connection has established connection, but i am still unable to surf the web wirelessly, the web pages will not load up.

Which authentication are you using? Some routers/AP may not support all the standards. Have you tried with no security authentication? Why I'm asking this is coz, I had stupidly trying WEP Network Key, in my Mandriva instead of WPA PSK key. Partly this was due to confusing terms used in my router and mandriva network center.
