download madwifi-0.9.4.zip
create src folder in home directory
copy madwifi-0.9.4.zip to src directory
unzip using unzip madwifi-0.9.4.zip command
switch to directory of madwifi-0.9.4
compile all files using more <filename> command
repeat the previous procedure for all files and folders in madwifi-0.9.4 directory
run INSTALL file
recompile all source codes
rerun INSTALL file
close terminal
install wifi-radar
run
configure wifi setings based upon your network
and it should conect if done right

This device should also work with the ath5k driver. That driver is included in most kernels, but I don't know about Mandriva. Eventually, the Madwifi driver will be discontinued, because it relies on the proprietary HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer). The ath5k/ath9k drivers are completely open source will eventually be the main Atheros drivers for Linux.
My EeePC reports to having the exact same wireless, and it works with the stock ath5k driver that comes in the Fedora 10 kernel.Paul
