| This device should also work with the ath5k driver. That driver is included in most kernels, but I don't know about Mandriva. Eventually, the Madwifi driver will be discontinued, because it relies on the proprietary HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer). The ath5k/ath9k drivers are completely open source will eventually be the main Atheros drivers for Linux.
My EeePC reports to having the exact same wireless, and it works with the stock ath5k driver that comes in the Fedora 10 kernel.
