| If this is really important to you, then RHEL is not the best version of Linux for this. The best way is to use a recent version of NetworkManager, and the nm-applet. This is available in most newer Linux distros.
For example, I have Ubuntu 9.04. When I right-click on the nm-applet in the system tray, and select edit connections, it has several options including "Mobile Broadband". When I select Bangladesh as the country, it gives these options:
AKTel
Banglalink
Grameen Phone
If your connection is one of those, it is automatically set up.
You cannot get RHEL to do this. You may be able to manually connect, by using the wvdial terminal program. You also need to have the correct driver loading in order for the phone to work.
