You need to install the Broadcom Linux-STA driver.
Broadcom.com - 802.11 Linux STA driverPaul

Hello Paul,
Thank you!
I was able to download from the site and now it is in my home directory
May I ask how to install from here please? There seems to be two kinds also that I have. I am not sure which of the two is needed.Code:nujinini@debian:~$ ls broadcom-sta-source_5.10.91.9-1_all.deb lib Desktop Makefile hybrid-portsrc-x86_32-v5_10_91_9.tar.gz src
Thanks again!

I don't know where that .deb file came from. It isn't from the Broadcom site that I linked to. They both are driver source files and need to be compiled, so I would use the one from the Broadcom web site.
There is a file with directions on the same web page as the driver. Copy the README.txt file, as it contains the instructions. To compile a kernel driver module, you need these installed first.
kernel source
kernel headers
gcc
makePaul

The Debian Wiki to the rescue:
wl - Debian Wiki
- 09-07-2009 #7
- 09-07-2009 #8
The path to the file. If you didn't cd (change directory) into the folder, you need to give the entire path, like this:
/home/nujinini/hybrid-portsrc-x86_32-v5_10_91_9
You could use apt, but you need to know the correct names of the packages. Try using the Synaptic Package Manager. Likely names may be these:
kernel source = linux-source
kernel headers = kernel-headers-<kernel version>
gcc = gcc
make = makePaul

You sure are having problems!
The instructions are somewhat generic, as the driver can be installed on many distros with many different kernels. Since it is built for a specific kernel, presumably the one that you are running, you can get that info with this command,
Look in the /lib/modules/ folder for a folder that matches your kernel version. Use that in place of "<2.6.xx.xx>".Code:uname -r
If you haven't noticed, anything surrounded by < > brackets is meant to be changed by you.
After compiling, you will need to copy the newly created wl.ko file into the /lib/modules/<kernel version>/kernel/driver/net/wireless folder. Do this with root privileges. Then run these commands:
sudo depmod -a
sudo modprobe wlPaul
