Internet In Modem But Not In Router

    Hello!

I just helped some friends whose computer crashed with all their data. Using a Mandirva live CD I was able to recover everything. However, after installation, we found out that internet does not work when plugged through the router. But it does work if plugged straight to the modem. I was thinking maybe I still have to configure something in the settings but I must admit, I have not encountered this before since most of my Linux distros works right out of the box when plugged to a router.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Have you setup the ethernet connection through mandriva's control center?
