That command has this output:
wmaster0 Interface doesn't support scanning.

Kinda what I thought... I was just wondering.
Do you have your router set where it doesn't actually broadcast it's network name?Jay

I'm pretty sure my router broadcasts the network name, and even if it didnt, theres lots of networks around me so I should see at least something. Also, im sitting very close to my router. I'm only in the next room.
- 01-19-2010 #26The current problem is definitely not the router, as the above error indicates. Normally this would indicate a lack of firmware...we checked used grep to look for firmware messages and found none...I don't know.SI0CSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory
Can you post the whole output of dmesg? (In code tags).
And the output ofCode:ls /lib/firmware

I don't really know how to make those code tags.

Sorry t bump an old posting but this is also the problem I'm having. My research and trial and errors lead me to believe this is solved by installing the drivers mentioned above, iwlagn and the firmware iwlwifi-1000-3.ucode.
Can anyone tell me the proper commands to install these? Thank you!
