Linksys WUSB54GC Connectivity
Hello, I'm running Debian 2.6.26-2-686 and have a Linksys USB Wireless Network adadpter WUSB54GC. This adapter is supported according to the Debian website (chipset Ralink 2501 and the driver for this device is rt73usb, I'm told). I've loaded the ralink-firmware, however I cannot get the adapter to work. A wireless network connection does not show in Network Manager (only a wired connection is displayed). I've read that when using network manager you should not add connections to etc network interfaces.
My wireless setup is attached (some lines deleted due to size limitations). I appreciate any information anyone can provide on how to enable this device.

It looks like the rt73usb may not be what you want afterall.
I would try the newer rt3070usb.
Here is an Ubuntu guide that should work for you.
