    wireless network is not detected on kernel

    hi all,

    i have install linux- and on my laptop .
    here i not able to connect wireless network on kernel but able to connect on and working fine on dhcp.

    command on kernel


    lo no wireless extensions.
    eth0 no wireless extensions.
    pan0 no wireless extensions.

    and on wicd --it is showing "no wireless network found"

    plz help me

    In wicd under properties>preferences in your working kernel. Is the wireless interface the same as what is in your newer kernel also. Or in the newer kernel in wicd is it blank? You may need to type in wlan0 or whatever the working kernel uses in wicd as wireless interface.

    thanks for reply.

    i checked properties>preferences in wicd , it showing same interface in new kernel wlan1 as in working kernel.
