It doesn't appear that this device is supported with a Linux driver. Normally, the WinXP driver could then be used, along with NDISwrappper. But it seems that Netgear has packaged the driver in a format that NDISwrapper cannot use.
My advice is to consider getting a different wireless device.Paul

I may have been hasty in my first reply
I downloaded and ran the driver installer in Linux, using wine. It installed the driver in the hidden .wine folder, in my home directory.
/home/paul/.wine/drive_c/windows/inf/WN121T
To use NDISwrapper you need an .inf file for your device and the corresponding .sys file, and I think that I found it. In the file named netmw245.inf, I see your device listed (in red)
I could tell NDISwrapper to use the files in that folder. Something like this:Code:[Marvell] %MRVL8360USB.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_1286&PID_2006 %BelkinN1USB.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_1799&PID_8051 %LinksysNUSB.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_13B1&PID_0029 %WN121TUSB.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_0846&PID_7100 %WN111USB.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_0846&PID_9000 %N650USB.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_07D1&PID_3B10 %AsusUSB1.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_0B05&PID_172A %AsusUSB2.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_0B05&PID_172B %DLinkUSB.DeviceDesc% = W8360USB.ndi.NT,USB\VID_07D1&PID_3B11
Then run these commands.Code:ndiswrapper -i /home/paul/.wine/drive_c/windows/inf/WN121T/netmw245.inf
Code:ndiswrapper -m
Code:ndiswrapper -ma
Reboot, and see if it works. You may still need to configure it first. Open the Network program, click on the wireless device, and then the Edit icon. Select these options:Code:ndiswrapper -mi
Use NetworkManager to control the device
Allow all uses to control the device
Use DNS
Use DHCP
Save and exit.Last edited by waterhead; 05-31-2010 at 11:27 PM. Reason: Changed .inf file to use

I just noticed that the wn111.inf file is for the Vista driver. You want to use the WinXP driver. Use the netmw245.inf file.
I will change my original post to reflect this (if I can).Paul

Since you now are using a different distro, you will have to repost the needed info from the new distro. Just like you did for Fedora 13.

Were there any errors when installing the driver with NDISwrapper? What is the output of this command:
Code:ndiswrapper -l

I was going to suggest forcing NDISwrapper to use your device's ID. But it looks like it already knows it. You can still try it, anyway. NDISwrapper refers to this procedure as "dangerous", so proceed at your own risk.
Also, check the full output of dmesg for any messages concerning this.Code:sudo ndiswrapper -a 0846:7100 netmw245
Code:dmesg
