    won't hook up by ethernet!

    So my computer was having a lot of problems and I decided to do a fresh install of ubuntu, The install went well and my wifi doesn't work cause I have to install the third party drivers on my netbook. So I hooked up the ethernet and it recognize it is plugged in but when I try to connect it keep saying that I am disconnected. Any thoughts?

    Please post the output for the ifconfig command
