[Ubuntu] Attempting to set up wireless (tl-wn350d)
I'm trying to set up a wlan in ubuntu 10.04 using a tp-link wireless card model tl-wn350d.
I've read the first thread, and here is my output from wireless_setup.txt...
The card recognises networks exist at the moment, but fails to connect to the my WLAN. Not attempted it with other networks yet, is it worth attempting to create a wireless adhoc network?Controller [1106:3149] (rev 80)

There's something wonky with your lspci there and the wireless card isn't showing up. Can you repost the output of
However, whichever card it is, it's using the ath5k driver, which is generally pretty stable and functional.Code:lspci -vnn | grep -i net
What sort of encryption are you using?
Are you able to disable encryption briefly and see if it connects?
If you have a wired connection, you might try install WICD over the default network manager. Some folks find it works better.
Code:sudo apt-get install wicd

I also see ndiswrapper loading. It too may be laying claim to the wireless device, rendering it disabled. Remove and blacklist ndiswrapper.
Code:sudo modprobe -r ndiswrapper
Add this to the bottom of the file:Code:gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
Save file and reboot.Code:blacklist ndiswrapper
