    help required with drivers.....


    I recently installed ubuntu 10.04 on a dell 64-bit laptop but the wireless cannot connect although it is working fine in windows. On s friends suggestion i tried installing drivers of broadcom but was unsuccessful.. I'm a bit new to linux..i have to get my wireless working urgently .. pls help asap... thanks.

    I found another good source (http:ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1390979) and did everything as they instructed.... but still the wifi refuses to work.. pls help..

    Since the b43 driver is no longer loading, I take it that you blacklisted it? You should also then blacklist the ssb module.

    The wl driver module is now loading, and that is the correct driver for your wireless. Blacklisting the ssb module, and rebooting, may be all you need to do.
