Cannot get wireless to work on back track 4

Installed backtrack 4 r2 as dual boot with windows 7 on laptop. I cannot get the wired or wireless to work. I just need the wireless to work, if I get the wired to as well thats just an added bonus.

I've tried all the really obvious, and believe the problem may be due to not having the correct drivers installed? Also, while I can press function+button to turn on bluetooth and webcam, the indicator light for wifi does not turn on when I do this. It works fine when I boot win7. Possibly irrelevant.

After doing a lot of research, I've noticed the same things being asked for time and time again, so I'll give all that info now.

It wouldn't lemme post this saying I had url links in it and had yet to post 15 times. Removed all the links but the detection is off somehow. Here is a text file. Sorry... If someone points out what to remove I'll repost so it can be more easily read....

hopefully something here catches the eye of an expert willing to lend a hand. If there is any further information I need to provide please lemme know.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Not knowing what kernel in text info.

    Code:
    uname -r
    mine is

    Code:
    demo@antiX1:/aufs/home/demo$ uname -r
    2.6.32-1-mepis-smp
    reason I mention this.

The tar.gz for your driver is http://www.jfdesignnet.com/wp-conten...25.2010.tar.gz

More info on what instructions are for installing driver and

Before installing this new driver, if dkms-r8192se were already installed on the system, please make sure to remove it first or the udev will always wrongly pickup the r8192se driver for this wlan.

    kernal is 2.6.35.8

I did something wrong when installing the driver... Possibly I didn't remove dkms-r8192se as you pointed out in your quote? Could you explain how to, or point me to somewhere that explains?

Unfortunately, I am leaving for Arizona for the Holidays so I won't be able to get back with you. May I suggest you query the backtrack forum and point them to this thread in your query. Because, I willl be without internet for quite some time during the holidays (Moms House). Sorry.
